Variety Cruises Unveils Major Fleet-Wide Renovation and Service Upgrade
Variety Cruises, headquartered in Greece since 1949, has announced the completion of an extensive fleet-wide renovation project and service upgrade, marking a bold new era for small-ship cruising. The major overhaul, which began in November 2024, has revitalized its vessels and significantly enhanced service standards across its global operations, promising a superior guest experience in worldwide ports of call.
A highlight of this modernization is the comprehensive transformation of the 157-foot wooden mega yacht, M/S Galileo, renowned for its classic design. Following a thorough winter overhaul, the vessel, accommodating up to 49 passengers for intimate Greek island voyages, is set to resume operations on March 21, 2025. Key updates include new lounge seating, revamped common areas, a fully renovated outdoor bar, modernized cabins with new lighting and decor, and completely renovated cabin bathrooms.
Alongside the Galileo, the 179-foot motor yacht M/Y Harmony V has also undergone extensive upgrades, focusing on aesthetics and functionality. Improvements include durable wooden flooring, updated lounge furniture, enhanced soundproofing, and renovated sun deck installations. Beyond these two vessels, Variety Cruises has extended maintenance and upgrades across its remaining fleet, including the Harmony G, Panorama, Panorama II, Variety Voyager, Pegasos, and Callisto, ensuring vessel integrity, safety, and passenger satisfaction fleet-wide.
Complementing these physical renovations, Variety Cruises has significantly invested in enhanced crew training, ensuring exceptional service delivery. The company has also introduced new digital tools and sales incentives for travel advisors, including the "Sell Three & Sail Free" program, allowing advisors to earn a complimentary cruise for booking three cabins on eligible itineraries across an expanded range of destinations.
